I'd really like to see some of you old 36ers come down for this event. We could probably get a good carpool to leave Thurs night and reach the event Friday morning.

Some of you guys had a damn fine bummers impression for Bentonville that I'd like to see you guys get back into the field together for sort of a reunion event.

We'd fall in with the 63rd IL under Rod Miller. Some of the Corn Fed Comrades will be with them, so it'll be a true Illinois unit.

First off--Mark what's up with the pictures? the updates say you put some pics up from the 2009 season and i cant find them anywhere on the site. Its not everyday I get to check this site you know, is it too much to ask to see some pics of my old buddies in the field? As for the bummers 09. Who is seriously considering this event? That will probably be about the time I am moving back to IL for good, so not sure how keen the wife would be if I took off for a weekend. However there is still a slight chance we may still be living in TN so who knows. Mark, if you and Jason are seriously considering it, I will start laying the ground work with my wife. Also, any updates on your future career path? Just a heads up the Army is not what it used to be, no more pipe hitters allowed. Just peace keepers. You may want to reconsider. Im out

1. Pictures from Into the Piney Woodshttp://www.flickr.com/photos/sfxeric/sets/72157615918407226/. I added one from the Orland Park event, and hopefully some will surface from the Conner Prairie event. Oakwood Cemetary and a Flag Retirement ceremony are coming up, so I'll be adding pics on a timely basis this summer. My bad.

2. I'm going to have to search out and seek out some of the 36ers. Sean surfaces every now and then, and Bill McCarthy is doing WWII now. I'll drum it up to Scott Sheets as well. Since 2001-2003 quite a few of them disappeared. Joe Koepke's in the Marines' aviation wing right now, so it'll be hard to say, but I'll see what I can do. Maybe Aaron may be ok by then to participate. I'll work on everyone for you. Can't top a mess like this group if we come together.

3. I'll send you an email by Monday night (CT) about some of my options and thoughts, and will get your feedback.
